Leo names squad for South Africa

Leo Beenhakker has named his squad for the latest summer fixtures against South Africa, Iraq and Greece. The game against South Africa will be played at the Orlando Stadium. It will be the final warm-up friendly for the Africans ahead of their opening Confederations Cup Group A clash at Ellis Park against Asian champions Iraq on June 14. However, There are a few squad changes that may cause upset in some – but there is one change which should not be a surprise to anyone.

Poland – San Marino: Historic Victory

Polish victoryRafal Boguski scored the quickest goal in Polish national team history in a 10-0 romp over San Marino, which also is the biggest victory in Polish history. Rafal ended the game with two goals. Ebi Smolarek scored 4 goals in the lopsided game. Robert Lewandowski, Ireneusz Jelen, Mariusz Lewandowski and Marek Saganowski also scored. SPORT SOCCER EURONobody ever said it was going to be easy. And by losing to Northern Ireland 2:3 last Saturday, Poland only made it harder on themselves on making the World Cup in 2010 in South Africa. But, with a little bit of help, Poland can still sneak back into the World Cup picture. However, the biggest help Poland could use, is their own. And that’s to start winning. Poland has a bit of a break as they host lowly ranked San Marino squad, who is only dressing two professionals. A hero saves the day

I used the name of the topic from Setanta Sports headline as it fits perfectly what we saw today. “Roger and out.” The Welsh side put up a good fight and youngsters were sparkling with ambition. The meeting was being held with a low attendance from the crowd, but Polish supporters made a real hubbub considering their modest quantity. Some of the shouts might have been rather naughty and I found them disturbing, but let’s call it a night. A hubbub reached it’s peak in the 80th minute, when Roger Guerreiro scored with a tremendous lob, that type of lob which you probably need to be Brazilian to try, not mention scoring.

PZPN: Shit happends, deal with it

As some of you have already known, the PZPN has been stirring up trouble again. Basically the Polish government has become fed up with the corrupt BS that happens in the PZPN, and they tried to do something about it. By taking away presidential power from Michal Listkiewicz, and installing their own admin they have broken FIFA/UEFA rules. Now the two head football federations are threatening that the government give Mr. Listkiewicz his power back, or basically were *****.
