He never was much of a leader, more of a joker on and off the pitch. Now after his poor performance (If you can call it that) at EURO 2008 and with World Cup qualifications just starting, Maciej Zurawski has been quietly booted from the NT. Why? When? Where? You may ask. Well frankly, he himself doesn’t even know the answer to those questions. Now some people may call him a pussy, or dick after the EURO, but a bad player he is not. Media crack Leo, Boruc come home?
26 09 2008
So here we have it, after much abuse from the media, the old Dutchman finally cracked. A recent article tells us about a comment by a Polish reporter about Leo that he didn’t approve of very well; so its time to sue! I don’t blame him, I myself find it crazy how the Polish media has been recklessly attacking Beenhakker like mad ever since EURO 2008. It’s like they have nothing else to do or think about, just what new bashing should they come up about him, because the NT has been playing so awfully. Hey, here is a thought… Read the rest of this entry »

UEFA matchday excitment!
19 09 2008
Alright, so the first two match days of the UEFA Champions League have finished, while the first round of the UEFA Cup just started. How did the Poles in the Champions league do? Well, guess… nothing special at all. Not that this is a bad thing. First starting out with Anorthosis’ Lukasz Sosin who started off their campaign against the Germans Werder Bremen. Sosin unfortunately did not play the entire game, a pity because he is his clubs most dynamic striker, and when he did come on he had very little service to show off his talents. Sosin, who recently has been getting his name tossed around in the PZPN to get a call up for the NT will have to earn the hype he is getting. Read the rest of this entry »

Polish activity abroad Part 1
13 09 2008
So there’s been some big Polish activity abroad (Big compared to before, which barely anything happened) and I’d like to share some of my opinions on these.
First off, we have Ebi Smolarek finally find a new club, but unfortunately he has yet to settle in. The Bolton coach doesn’t expect to play Ebi anytime soon until he has settled in with his new club and surroundings. Hmm, this is only saying part of the truth as it is quite obvious he is very much out of form. Read the rest of this entry »
