Top Spaniard for Polonia?

10 11 2009

BakeroAlthough Ruch Chorzow currently occupy second spot in the Ekstraklasa, they are not really regarded as a member of the exclusive ‘Big’ group, yet. The Wisla Krakow v Legia Warszawa clash, or first against third, was the game of round 13, but because of the stadium-rebuilding programme which is affecting all ‘Big 3’ clubs, this was not reflected by the 3,500 gate. The Krakowianie are having to play their home matches in Sosnowiec, 40 miles away. Miroslav Radovic scored the 34th minute winner for Legia just two minutes after coming on for Sebastian Szalachowski.

3 11 2009

Last weekend’s most interesting league match was the top of the second division, or Unibet 1 Liga, clash between Gornik Zabrze and Widzew Lodz. The Silesians lost 0-1 to a Piotr Grzelczak goal, in front of 16,000 which many English clubs in the Championship would welcome.

Lech Finally got themselves a #1 Keeper

Wasted trip ends with 1-1 draw with Iraq

9 06 2009

Wilk against IraqMy title of my previous blog was a bit off. It wasn’t just a wasted trip to Johannesburg, but a completely waste of a time to even head down to South Africa. My entire post could be the same as the one I posted on South Africa. Except, this time Roger Guerreiro came in at half-time and provided some type of offense, provided some type of attack. After all, they were only playing Iraq, and don’t get me wrong, I do think Iraq has come a long way from where their national team was just even a  few years ago with the war going on and all, but, it’s Iraq!
