What does the future hold for Lech Poznan?

16 03 2009

Lech Poznan seemed to be headed straight towards their 6th Polish league title with what is arguably the best Polish club squad since the Wisla Krakow club which made a long run in the Uefa Cup in 2003. Some would even argue this Lech Poznan team is better. After 20 weeks of the Polish Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznan sits in first place with 43 points, three points ahead of Legia Warsaw. Lech Poznan also made a nice run in the Uefa Cup which just ended last month to Udinese. Well, guess… nothing special at all. Not that this is a bad thing. First starting out with Anorthosis’ Lukasz Sosin who started off their campaign against the Germans Werder Bremen. Sosin unfortunately did not play the entire game, a pity because he is his clubs most dynamic striker, and when he did come on he had very little service to show off his talents. Sosin, who recently has been getting his name tossed around in the PZPN to get a call up for the NT will have to earn the hype he is getting. Read the rest of this entry »
