Leo Beenhakker has been fired, according to many media outlets out of Poland, including sport.pl. Poland lost an embarrassing World Cup qualifier today to Slovenia 3-0, which all but eliminates Poland officially from South Africa. Polish Football Federation Grzegorz Lato announced after the game that Leo will be officially dismissed on Thursday. Obraniak and Brozek to start vs. N.Ireland

“The team will play against Northern Ireland for him.” ~ Leo Beenhakker.
By now, i’m sure everybody has seen the dirty tackle Axel Witsel on Polish defender Marcin Wasilewski in a Belgian league match this past weekend which broke his leg. There is no room in the sport for such tackles and I’m very happy UEFA took a very heavy stance against Witsel. Witsel has been suspended by the Belgian football federation until late November and fined a heavy amount. Read the rest of this entry »
