It’s been a while since i last checked in with some news and notes around the Polish league. Honestly, not much has happened since my last post on transfers around the Polish league and abroad. Most of the attention has been on the national team but there have been some news of note last few days that I figured i’d get everyone up to date on the happenings in Polish soccer.

Wasted trip ends with 1-1 draw with Iraq

My title of my previous blog was a bit off. It wasn’t just a wasted trip to Johannesburg, but a completely waste of a time to even head down to South Africa. My entire post could be the same as the one I posted on South Africa. Except, this time Roger Guerreiro came in at half-time and provided some type of offense, provided some type of attack. After all, they were only playing Iraq, and don’t get me wrong, I do think Iraq has come a long way from where their national team was just even a  few years ago with the war going on and all, but, it’s Iraq!

Squandered trip to Johannesburg

By now, you would think the Polish national team would realize that each day they have together, they should make the best of it. A team that plays inconsistent and has so many problems so many times, one would think that a wake up call like the match against Northern Ireland would wake some players up? Apparently not. Like this article from gazeta.pl says, and I agree with, instead of going to South Africa to prepare for the next wave of qualifiers, the team went to site see.

Expect a new PS in a few days

Hey there guys, so of course by now you have realized that polishsoca.com is offline. Don’t panic, it’s offline for a good reason. Originally it went down because of our host having server issues, but we took this as an opportunity to start rebuilding to a new and improved polishsoca.com for the 2009 summer. It’s something we have had been planning to do for sometime. Now we finally have the chance to do it thanks to our host’s server going haywire.

Monday bullets

It’s Monday and I’m still depressed with what happened on Saturday with Gornik Zabrze, but, it’s finally hit me and i can now move on and just hope for the best. We’re a second division club and I have to accept that fact for at least one season.
